In places where unrestricted energy availability is required, such as hospitals, marine application or data centres, so-called gensets (diesel or gas-powered) are used.
Here, Nidec DESCH genset gearboxes are used to adjust the generator speed. By integrating them into their drive train, the customer can operate 50 Hz motors in the 60 Hz power supply by adjusting the generator speed.

The gearboxes can be used for both gas and diesel generator sets. The power range is between 1-10 MW. The gearboxes are customised to the customer's individual application.
